Suggested subject: "A Rainbow or Something Colourful"
I shoulda stuck to the rainbow and gone to bed early with a good book. Instead, I hunted for inspiration for half the day, rejecting countless leprechauns with their requisite pots of gold. In the end, I circled back to a photo taken years ago when visiting the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. This young lady kindly let me take a photo of her as she manned her booth of bouquets waiting for roving tourists. Quick sketch in chalk pastel on paper, approximately 10" x 9".
