SODA POP SUNDAY Acrylic on Canvas; 36" x 36"    $2800
I'm so grateful that photography came into the world when it did. What little record of the vast stretches of the past exist in our material world, we owe a large part to a little box and a bit of light-sensitive chemistry. And back in the day, when it was so new, nobody much thought about poignancy or artistic merit or historical relevancy. It was mostly about the adventure of capturing the moment, whatever that might be. I love the childlike naivity of that. Perhaps that's why I am so taken with many old photos such as this one. There's no agenda – just the inherent beauty of a common moment in time.
