Suggested subject: "A Castle" I love castles but I'm not the least bit interested in drawing them. So I deliberated about this most of the day and
decided that it was what happened around the castles that was more engaging. As a fact, more than a millennium after its inception, this castle hosted the cast of the movie "Monty Python and the Holy Grail and
spawned a cinematic archetype: the French soldier with little regard for international social decorum. Played by John Cleese and supported by the indomitable Graham Chapman and Michael Palin, Cleese is actually
sticking out his tongue which is hard to see in the movie and very difficult to render in ink! This is India ink on watercolour paper; approximately 12" x 12". |
